FUBAR is an action-comedy television series created by Nick Santora for Netflix. It stars Arnold Schwarzenegger in his first leading role in a scripted live-action television series and is produced by Skydance Television and Blackjack Films.
The series follows father and daughter duo Luke (Schwarzenegger) and Emma (Monica Barbaro) Brunner, who have been keeping their own secrets from each other: They’re both CIA agents. Luke has been in the game much longer than his daughter, but when he’s sent on a mission to save an operative code-named Panda — who happens to be Emma — the pair must learn to work together with a team of secret agents. FUBAR premiered on May 25, 2023. Here’s everything we know about the new show’s cast and characters.
Arnold Schwarzenegger as Luke Brunner
Retirement can’t come soon enough for this veteran CIA operative. Luke has seen almost everything during his career as a secret agent, but nothing can prepare him for his last undercover mission. Before he can enjoy his golden years, Luke is tasked with saving another fellow operative who just so happens to be his own daughter.
Schwarzenegger makes his TV series debut in FUBAR. The former bodybuilder and California governor has starred in iconic films including Terminator, Conan the Barbarian, Kindergarten Cop and Last Action Hero.
Monica Barbaro as Emma Brunner
The young agent is determined to carve out her own career path, but when she’s in danger, she reluctantly teams up with her dad and learns to work through tough family dynamics.
Barbaro is known for her roles in Top Gun: Maverick, UnREAL, Chicago Justice and The Good Cop.
Fabiana Udenio as Tally Brunner, Luke’s ex-wife and Emma’s mother
Tally and Luke have been divorced for quite some time, but her ex-husband still won’t stop pining for her.
The Italian-Argentine actor is best known for her role as Alotta Fagina in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. She’s also starred in Jane the Virgin and Amazon.
Gabriel Luna as Boro Polonia, a powerful arms dealer
This arms dealer is highly educated and highly dangerous. It’s up to Luke and his team to take Boro down.
Luna reunites with Schwarzenegger in FUBAR. The two actors previously co-starred in Terminator: Dark Fate, and he can also be seen in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Jay Baruchel as Carter, Emma’s boyfriend who is a kindergarten teacher
Carter is head over heels for his girlfriend Emma — and he’s willing to do anything for her. When Emma gets caught up in her CIA mission, it puts their relationship in jeopardy.
The actor and comedian voiced Hiccup Haddock in How to Train Your Dragon and is known for his roles in She’s Out of My League, Knocked Up and Tropic Thunder.
Fortune Feimster as Roo
You can’t go undercover without a few laughs, and Roo never misses with her witty one-liners. She wishes she had a dad like Luke in her life, and reminds Emma how lucky she is to have a parent who’ll drop anything to help his daughter out.
The writer and comedian has two Netflix comedy specials, Sweet & Salty and Good Fortune. She’s also appeared in The Mindy Project and Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar.
Travis Van Winkle as Aldon
Sometimes, being a secret agent involves dressing undercover from head to toe, but Aldon has no problem with showing off his abs. It’s no secret that the handsome spy has a crush on Emma, despite her already being in a relationship.
Van Winkle starred in You Season 3 as Cary Conrad and has appeared in Accepted and Transformers.
Milan Carter as Barry, the CIA technical operations officer of Luke’s team
Behind every secret agent is a savvy computer wizard. Barry is the man behind the curtain making all the magic happen by helping out his fellow secret agents.
Aparna Brielle as Tina, a data analyst outside the CIA brought in to join Luke’s team
Tina is an analyst from an outside agency who joins the undercover mission. While some of the agents aren’t too thrilled to work with her, Barry is excited to have her on the team.
Brielle starred as Riley in Boo, Bitch and has appeared in A.P. Bio, Grimm and The Librarians.
Andy Buckley as Donnie, Tally’s boyfriend
Tally has been divorced from Luke for 15 years and she’s moved on with Donnie. Although he’s her new beau, Donnie has to keep an eye out for her ex, who’s determined to win her back.
Buckley is best known for his role as David Wallace in The Office, and has also appeared in Veep, The Other Guys and Life as We Know It.
