Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes had its U.S premiere in Los Angeles this evening, with a red carpet that featured director Francis Lawrence and stars Rachel Zegler, Tom Blyth, Hunter Schafer, Josh Andres Rivera, Olivia Rodrigo, Conan Gray, and more.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a prequel to The Hunger Games saga and takes place 64 years before Katniss Everdeen volunteered as tribute, and decades before Coriolanus Snow became the authoritarian president of Panem. Tom Blyth, Peter Dinklage, Hunter Schafer, Josh Andrés Rivera, Jason Schwartzman and Viola Davis star alongside Zegler. The film is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Michael Lesslie and Michael Arndt, based on the novel by Suzanne Collins, and produced by Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, and Francis Lawrence.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is scheduled to be released in North America on November 17, 2023, by Lionsgate Films.
