Oscar-winning duo Jessica Chastain and Adam Driver will headline “The Dealer,” a new Media Res drama picked up straight-to-series by Apple TV+.
“The Dealer,” written by Hnath and directed by Gold, delves into the cutthroat world of high-end art, exploring power, class, and seduction through Jessica Chastain’s aspiring super gallerist and her complex relationship with Adam Driver’s gifted but unsettling artist.
‘The Dealer‘ represents Jessica Chastain’s second collaboration with Apple TV+, following her role as star and executive producer in the upcoming limited series The Savant through her production company, Freckle Films. This also marks her return to Media Res, where she previously starred in and executive produced the acclaimed HBO limited series Scenes From A Marriage. Beyond The Savant, Chastain is set to appear in the feature film Lear Rex. A highly celebrated actor, she holds an Academy Award for The Eyes of Tammy Faye, an Oscar nomination for Zero Dark Thirty, and an Emmy nomination for George & Tammy.
‘The Dealer‘ marks only Adam Driver’s second major television role following his acclaimed breakout performance on HBO’s Girls. On the big screen, Driver recently showcased his talents in Megalopolis and is set to appear in the upcoming film Father, Mother, Sister, Brother. A two-time Academy Award nominee, he earned critical acclaim for his roles in Marriage Story and BlacKkKlansman.
