What happens in No Hard Feelings?
Maddie (Lawrence) thinks she’s found the answer to her financial troubles when she discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to “date” their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, and bring him out of his shell before he leaves for college. But awkward Percy proves to be more of a challenge than she expected, and time is running out. She has one summer to make him a man or lose it all.

On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 61% of 57 critics’ reviews are positive, with an average rating of 5.9/10. The website’s consensus reads: “Jennifer Lawrence’s comedic and dramatic chops ensure that this raunchy comedy prompts No Hard Feelings, but the story’s lack of commitment may leave many viewers feeling nothing much at all.”
Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the film a score of 56 out of 100, based on 25 critics, indicating “mixed or average reviews”.
