On 18 May 2023, a new Ip Man movie titled Ip Man 5 was announced by the Hong Kong-based Mandarin Motion Pictures during Cannes Market. Donnie Yen also unveiled the poster for film on his Instagram.
Donnie Yen recently joined one of the biggest action franchises of all time, starring as the blind assassin Caine in this year’s John Wick: Chapter 4. With plans for the John Wick series to expand into spinoffs, Yen is hoping to lead his own Caine-centered project.
Following its announcement at the Cannes Film Festival, no release date was given just yet for Ip Man 5. In the meantime, checkout the official poster below:
