“Reacher” Season 3 has smashed records for Prime Video, attracting 54.6 million viewers worldwide within 19 days of its February 20th premiere. This marks the series’ biggest audience to date and positions it as the most-watched returning series on the platform, surpassing Season 2’s performance in the same timeframe.
Amazon reveals “Reacher” Season 3 stands as Prime Video’s most successful premiere since “Fallout,” which garnered 65 million viewers in its first 16 days in April 2024. Only “Fallout” and “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” Season 1 have surpassed “Reacher” in viewership within a comparable timeframe.
“Reacher” Season 3’s 19-day viewership, which covers the first five episodes (with episode six released early Thursday), surpasses several recent Prime Video hits. Notably, “Cross” garnered 40 million viewers in 20 days (with a full-season release), and “The Rings of Power” Season 2 reached 40 million in 11 days. Nielsen’s U.S. viewing data for “Reacher’s” premiere week will be available March 20th. It remains unspecified whether the 54.6 million viewers represent an average minute audience or the total number of viewers who sampled the season.

The series is based on Lee Child’s long-running Jack Reacher book series, which follows a hulking former soldier (Reacher) who now metes out justice as he travels the nation with little more than the clothes on his back. Along the way, he finds himself solving murders, unraveling conspiracies, and throwing plenty of punches.
In Season 3, based on Lee Child’s “Persuader,” Reacher (Alan Ritchson) delves into a smuggling ring threatening a DEA informant’s life. He uncovers a personal connection when a past adversary from his Army days resurfaces, linked to import business owner Zachary Beck (Hall). Teaming up with the DEA, Reacher goes undercover to rescue an informant and dismantle Beck’s operation.
