Sofia Carson (Purple Hearts) and Danielle Deadwyler (The Harder They Fall, the upcoming Till) have joined Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman in the cast of the Netflix and Amblin Partners film Carry-On.
Carry-On tells the story of TSA agent Ethan (Egerton), who’s blackmailed into letting a dangerous package get through security on a packed Christmas flight. There’s no word yet on who Carson and Deadwyler will be playing, but we hope they’re ready for some unexpected turbulence.
The new thriller is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who’s no stranger to deadly plane rides; his Non-Stop starring Liam Neeson remains the midair gold standard. T.J. Fixman (the Ratchet & Clank video game series) wrote the screenplay, with additional contributions from Michael Green (Blade Runner 2049, Logan). Carry-On’s pedigree doesn’t stop there — it’s the first film released as part of Netflix’s partnership with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Partners.
Carry-On is arriving soon. Stay tuned for more updates!
