Courteney Cox gained overnight fame as she endeared herself to millions as the neurotic yet loveable Monica Geller, on the Emmy® Award-winning comedy “Friends.” For six seasons, Cox also starred as ‘Jules Cobb’ in her Golden Globe® nominated role in the comedy sitcom “Cougar Town.” Earlier this year, Cox reprised her iconic role as ‘Gale Weathers’ in Scream, the fifth installment in the cult classic franchise, directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. In 2021, Cox joined her former “Friends” co-stars for the highly acclaimed reunion special, which received a Primetime Emmy® Award nomination for “Outstanding Variety Special.” Additionally, Cox serves as an executive producer and the host of Facebook Watch's documentary series, “9 Months with Courteney Cox.” The widely popular series received a 2021 Daytime Emmy® Award nomination for “Outstanding Short Form Daytime Non-Fiction Program,” as well as a nomination for "Short Form Series" for the first annual Critics' Choice Real TV Awards. In 2016, Cox co-starred in Mothers and Daughters, and her feature film directorial debut, Just Before I Go, opened in select markets after premiering at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival. In 2012, Courteney directed the Lifetime Original Movie, Talhotblond, her first full-length project as a director. Cox made her acting debut in 1984 on the daytime soap “As the World Turns” and later that year was cast by Brian de Palma for Bruce Springsteen's video "Dancing in the Dark." She landed her first well-known role as an actress in 1987 when she was cast as the bright, perky girlfriend of Michael J. Fox on “Family Ties.” Additional film credits include Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Bedtime Stories, 3000 Miles to Graceland, Mr. Destiny, Cocoon: The Return, Zoom, November, The Longest Yard, and Barnyard. Cox established her own production company, Coquette, in 2004. Projects have included “Cougar Town,” “Dirt,” the interior design show “Mix It Up,” the comedy “Daisy Does America,” and The Tripper. In 2014, Coquette premiered their hit production, the Craig Ferguson-hosted “Celebrity Name Game.”
