In 2020’s Extraction — based on the graphic novel Ciudad by Ande Parks, Joe Russo and Anthony Russo — Hemsworth’s black-ops gun for hire finds himself on a life-threatening mission in Bangladesh, trying to save the son of an incarcerated Indian drug lord.
After barely surviving the events of the first film, Rake is going to have to nurse his wounds on the road, as he battles to get the family of a Georgian gangster out of prison. The new film sees Rake head to colder climes, with plenty of henchmen to fight along the way. Written by The Gray Man co-director Joe Russo, and directed by returning Extraction veteran Sam Hargrave, this is Tyler Rake’s most formidable mission yet.
In the cast of Extraction 2, Hemsworth is joined by Golshifteh Farahani and Adam Bessa, who reprise their roles as Nik Khan and Yaz Khan. Joining them in this new adventure are new cast-members Olga Kurylenko, Daniel Bernhardt and Tinatin Dalakishvili.
