A mysterious murder. A hardened detective. A truth more dangerous than they could have ever imagined. Benicio Del Toro, Alicia Silverstone, and Justin Timberlake co-star in Grant Singer’s new crime thriller ‘Reptile’.
Reptile makes its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival and will open in select theaters on Sept. 22 before streaming on Netflix on October 6. You may have to wait until then to find out who the killer is, but you can meet the cast of characters below.
Benicio Del Toro as Tom Nichols
Tom Nichols is a small-town police detective thrown into a murder investigation, who slowly realizes things aren’t quite as they seem. Nichols is a loyal detective and husband to Judy — there’s only one thing he loves almost as much as he loves her, and that’s being a cop.
Alicia Silverstone as Judy Nichols
The former Clueless star takes on the role of Tom’s wife, Judy Nichols. But she’s more than just a spouse — Judy enjoys talking about crimes with her husband and helps him with the investigation.
Justin Timberlake as Will Grady
Will Grady is the head of his family real estate empire. When he finds his slain girlfriend’s body at one of their listings, his life is turned upside down.
Eric Bogosian as Captain Robert Allen
Robert Allen is Judy’s favorite uncle and Tom’s mentor. Though he’s on track to retire from the police force after a recent medical diagnosis, Allen feels compelled to take on one last case and help his nephew-in-law with the murder investigation.
Ato Essandoh as Dan Cleary
Dan Cleary is Nichols’ partner and right-hand man. He’s a solid and reliable partner, helping to track down leads and potential witnesses.
Domenick Lombardozzi as Wally Fynn
Wally Fynn is a detective who appears to be a supportive friend and colleague to Nichols and a friend of the family — though his values are at times questionable.
Michael Carmen Pitt as Eli Phillips
He’s the odd man in town, and he keeps a close eye on what’s happening in the shadows.
