Kaitlyn Dever will be playing the role of Abby Anderson in the highly anticipated second season of HBO’s “The Last of Us”. Abby is a formidable antagonist who embarks on a vengeful mission after losing her father, Dr. Jerry Anderson, at the hands of Joel. Dever has expressed her commitment to doing justice to the character and bringing depth to Abby’s emotions, including her anger, frustration, and grief.
Dever is aware of the online controversy surrounding Abby’s character and has focused on understanding Abby’s backstory to portray her authentically.
The second season of “The Last of Us” will premiere on April 13, 2025.
